Global Production Networks are changing today's production planning and are generating value-added around the globe. Having a solid understanding of global network mechanisms and major production markets like China is an essential competitive advantage. The Institute of Production Science (wbk) in Germany and the Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI) in Hong Kong are cooperating to develop global manufacturing solutions and enhance the understanding of the Chinese and German market.

This experience and our long-term approach to act as a partner for western and aisa companies in China led to the decision to found the Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute Program (GAMI Program).

Our aim is to increase the overall knowledge, nurture people and advance company competences in order to best utilize capabilities around the world. We have worked towards these objectives in the Chinese market since 2005 and run projects in the fields of factory planning, sourcing, production optimization, auditing, quality and capacity management, logistics and material-flow optimization.
